SENSOSEAT has been selected by EIT Health as one of the 10 startups participating in Patient Innovation Bootcamp. The program consists of three sub-programs that will be conducted in Lisbon, Barcelona, and Copenhagen. The aim of this bootcamp is to support the development and launch of innovative solutions created by people directly affected by health conditions. The aim is to help them move their solutions from ideas to prototypes through to market-ready innovations.

SESNSOSEAT applied for this program. We was accepted at the first stage and managed to reach the interview phase. The interview was successful as well and we reached the bootcamp.

Patient Innovation Bootcamp is a program by EIT Health. This entity was first founded in 2015, as a ‘knowledge and innovation community’ (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The EIT is made up of various KICs who each focus on a different sector, or area, of innovation – in our case, that is health and aging. The idea behind the EIT KICs is that innovation flourishes best when the right people are brought together to share expertise. The so called ‘knowledge triangle’, is the principle that when experts from business, research and education work together as one, an optimal environment for innovation is created.
